International
Why International?
Language science is necessarily global, and globally necessary. We cannot solve the big problems in language in one place.
As the leading university in the Washington DC area, the University of Maryland also has unusual opportunities for international connections.
This is the starting point for a very promising collaboration between the Language Science Center, its Division of Research, and the Office of International Affairs.
